Do I have to visit the dentist every six months?
The American Dental Association and our dentists agree that six months is typically the ideal frequency to visit the dentist since this gives our teams the opportunity to diagnose and treat oral health concerns in their earliest stages preventing major oral health issues that can be painful and detrimental to oral health.
Are x-rays safe?
Absolutely. Traditional x-rays are completely safe, but our offices utilize digital radiography which exposes patients to 40% less radiation on average. Additionally, there are no hazardous developing chemicals required.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal, gum, disease occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at the gum line irritates soft tissue leading to bleeding and inflammation known as gingivitis. Left untreated, this reversible oral health issue can cause further damage including tooth loss.
What is CEREC®?
CEREC® is a computer assisted design and manufacture (CAD/CAM) system that allows our team to design, mill, and place dental crowns, bridges, and even veneers in a single visit.
Does teeth whitening work?
Over the counter teeth whitening products promise to deliver dramatic results, but they are typically unable to deliver on these promises. Successful whitening is both time and dose dependent. Over the counter products might have acceptable ingredients, but where they typically fail is in keeping the whitener against the tooth for a long enough time to produce meaningful results. We will be happy to provide you with high quality whiteners and custom fitted trays for better, more predictable results.
Do you see emergency patients?
Dr. Setzer and Dr. Boyles are happy to assist patients of record who are experiencing a dental emergency. Simply contact our regular line after hours and follow the directions to get in touch with our team.
